Get the simple stuff early so you aren't waiting for Walmart to stock up on stuff.

Don't wait on getting the simple school supplies until you start school, do it when the "Back-to-School" sales start.

If you are in middle school or high school, know what you signed up for in the spring of the previous year (in elementary, it's what teacher you have).

Know what classes you have signed up for.
